Emery is the proud home of Little Huskies Daycare, a childcare center licensed by the State of South Dakota. As a licensed childcare facility, Little Learners is following the South Dakota Department of Social Services guidelines. Little Huskies is operated through the City of Emery as a non-profit organization.
Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 6pm. A blend of full-time and part-time enrollment is incorporated within the center. Little Huskies offers a Jump-Start program for 3-4 year old children to help prepare them for Preschool with age appropriate curriculum, art projects, sensory play, and free play. A Toddler program is also offered that includes curriculum, projects and play time to help them prepare for the Jump-Start program. Drop-in care is available upon request and availability.
Little Huskies goal is to offer a safe and nurturing environment while providing physical, social and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of families. The children are treated as unique and valuable human beings. The children, with encouragement of staff, should produce self discipline and develop respect of others.
